  • What should I expect when attending Bodhiworks Physiotherapy?
    During your initial consultation, your physiotherapist will assess your injury or condition through a thorough history and comprehensive physical examination. Based on this evaluation, they will recommend an appropriate treatment plan. This includes tailored strategies for managing your condition long-term, such as ergonomic guidance, targeted stretching and strengthening exercises and advice to enhance your overall health and well-being. We prioritise your care, striving to deliver the highest standards of treatment to facilitate your swift return to optimal health and well-being.
  • What could treatment include?
    Your treatment will vary depending on the assessment, extent and severity of your injury or symptoms. Physiotherapy may include any of the following: · Joint mobilisation · Massage · Dry needling · Exercise therapy · Clinical Pilates · Taping
  • Do I need a referral for physiotherapy?
    No, a referral from a doctor is not required to see a physiotherapist. However, if you have previously consulted a doctor or another therapist, bringing along any relevant letters detailing investigations or treatments can be beneficial. Please also bring any test results, such as X-rays as they help us in accurately diagnosing your condition and planning your treatment effectively.
  • Can I pay with my health insurance?
    Absolutely, we have HICAPS on site to process your health insurance extras on the spot.
  • Do you treat Workcover, TAC, Medicare, DVA or NDIS?
    Yes, we do. Please bring a long all relevant referrals and paperwork so that we can seamlessly set up your account.
  • Where can I park?
    Located in the heart of Prahran on Malvern Road, our clinic is conveniently situated within 6km of Melbourne CBD, near bustling Chapel Street. We offer easy access to an extensive network of tram, train and bus services, ensuring convenient transportation options for our patients. Our clinic is just a 7-minute walk from Hawksburn station, South Yarra, serving the Pakenham, Cranbourne and Frankston train lines. Additionally, tram stops number 32 and 33 are conveniently located nearby, with the Number 72 tram passing directly along Malvern Road. Parking is available on Malvern Road and surrounding side streets.
  • How much does it cost?
    Physiotherapy: Initial Consultation 40 minutes $145 Standard Consultation 20 minutes $100 Extended Consultation 40 minutes $145 Extended Consultation 60 minutes $195 TAC/ workcover or NDIS clients: If your claim is rejected – you will be responsible for the cost of the treatment. If your claim doesn’t cover 100% of our fee you will be responsible for the gap payment. Medicare EPC Plan: Treatment is to be paid in full at the completion of the appointment. We will process the claim on your behalf with Medicare. Medicare will pay directly to you the claim amount upon approval.
  • Cancellation Policy?
    To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid potential fees. While we understand unexpected circumstances may arise, timely notice allows us to accommodate other clients on our waitlists. Please note, Medicare, Workcover and TAC do not cover the costs for missed appointments or those cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, necessitating personal payment for such instances. Your cooperation in providing adequate notice is greatly appreciated.
